Bodegas Sierra Cantabria
Founded by Mr. Guillermo Eguren in 1957, Bodegas Sierra Cantabria is the matrix Cellar of the Eguren group. The Cellars of the group reflect the evolution of the Eguren family into wine-makers and owners of wineries without their winemaking roots.
The Bodegas Sierra Cantabria vineyards are located in "Sonsierra", between San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Labastida and Laguardia. The "Sonsierra" is an area within the Upper Rioja located between the Ebro River and the Cantabria Mountains that project it from the northern winds providing good exposition to the sun. The vineyards are cared for under the premise of sustainable viticulture.
Bodegas Sierra Cantabria is located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Upper Rioja. Its installations are a grape receiving hall, elaboration room and an ageing room in Oak Barrels.
Bodegas Sierra Cantabria elaborates its wines after a rigorous selection of grapes in optimal health and maturing conditions. The elaboration of the Bodegas Sierra Cantabria Rioja wines has little intervention in maximum respect for character of the land.
